Arizona is the home
of the blazing modern rock sounds of Ellington Effect.
Filled with soulful, personal lyrics and catchy hook-laced
vocals, "EE" is making a connection with audiences
all over. Heavy 90's rock influences accented by
blistering guitar solos, powerful beats and driving
bass has Ellington Effect cutting it's own niche
in the southwest music scene.
Ellington Effect's moniker is rooted in the way the group
formed and how they mesh as a band. EE is made up of
two previous established AZ band that each had their own different styles and sound. When
the new group was formed and they got together to work
out the direction of their old songs and create new ones,
they found their music changing and taking on a life
of it's own. While trying to come up with a name, the
band stumbled across the musical term "Ellington Effect".
Defined as: "When a new sound is created from when different
individuals with different musical backgrounds and styles
come together as a group". It fit perfectly and thus
Ellington Effect was born.
